A STUDY ON BUDDHIST PERSPECTIVES ON ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

Abstract

Environmental conservation is one of the burning problems facing mankind today. For that, mostof expertise of that subject have researched and analyzed that they were alarmed on the seriousadverse impacts of toxic substances on the living environment of human, animals and vegetation.here, it is emphasized ironically man is the one who pollutes his own health, and kill the life ofall the beings in this earth. Therefore, can be protected or conserved of environment merely byplanting trees and implementing law? What are buddhist attitudes towards on environmentalconservation? Life and environment are indivisible and inseparable form entire life. That means, They are correlates with each other, because even single change of both life and environmentaffects each side equally. Buddhist discourses manifested mainly two kinds of environment respectively external environment and internal environment. Both environments are equally vital to survival of the world. Even though, that internal environment is able to impact the External environment. The external environment is seriously polluted because the internal environment in the mind is seriously damaged. According to buddhism declare what people have to do here is that get awareness of correlation between living beings and an environment because no one can isolated from both aspects. All beings have privilege to live and no one has right to interrupt their freedom. And buddhism pointed out main causes of affecting of environmental crisis is that lack of human morality, lack of global principle regarding on environment etc. Therefore, as human beings strive to protect the environment, keep mutual relationships with environment. The golden rule of buddhism in terms of environmental crisis is that move in middle path. Qualitative method will be used to collect the data and analysed of this research. Hence, this paper will be attempted to discuss Utility of conservation of environment and analyzed urgent strategies to overcome such kinds of environmental crisis.
