Abstract

Albino animals demonstrate both positive and negative responses to their albinistic characteristics. Albinism reported in same mammals, birds and reptiles groups and albinism in Order Artiodactyla family Cervidae were reported more than 51 species worldwide. Here we report first albinism record and true albinism record of the sambar deer (Rusa unicolor unicolor) (gona/gonamuwa) Ududumbara wet zone and Suriyapura, Kanthale dry zone in Sri Lanka.
