CONSERVATION OF THE ENDANGERED YERBURY’S ELF DRAGONFLY AT HORAGOLLA NATIONAL PARK’S PERIPHERAL AREA
Authors: P.A.B.S.AthokoralaThere are five endangered dragonflies belonging to Libellulidae family in Sri Lanka. Of them the Yerbury’s Elf dragonfly, the only representative of its genus an endemic and globally endangered dragonfly was found in Horagolla National Park’s peripheral area. To conserveviably these types of endangered species we shouldincorporate rules and regulations to protect theirhabitat types situated inunprotected areas too.
