AN INCIDENT OF A MUGGER CROCODILE (Crocodylus palustris) DEVOURING A PANGOLIN (Manus crassicaudata)
Authors: Anslem de Silva,J.M.Probst,P.D.D.S.De Silva,S.KarunarathneYala National Park is a hotpot for the mugger crocodile (Crocodylus palustris) as large numbers of it inhabit the park. The mugger feeds on a variety of animals such as fish, birds, reptiles, chelonians, amphibians, crabs and small to large mammals. We report here the first report of it feeding on a pangolin (Manis crassicaudata).
